Retail, hospitality and leisure relief scheme 2024 to 2025 - 75% reduction

At the Autumn Statement on 22 November 2023 the Chancellor announced the extension of the business rates relief scheme for retail, hospitality, and leisure properties, worth an estimated £2.4 billion in 2024/25. This will support the businesses that make our high streets and town centres a success and help them to evolve and adapt to changing consumer demands.
Hereditaments that meet the eligibility for scheme will be occupied hereditaments which meet all of the following conditions for the chargeable day:
They are wholly or mainly being used:
- as shops, restaurants, cafes, drinking establishments, cinemas or live music venues
- for assembly and leisure
- as hotels, guest & boarding premises or self-catering accommodation
