Notice of Change of Name of Parish

On 13 February 2020, Lower Allithwaite Parish Council resolved to change the name of the parish from Lower Allithwaite to Allithwaite and Cartmel and subsequently made a request to South Lakeland District Council pursuant to Section 75 of the Local Government Act 1972 to change the name of the parish.
On 28 July 2020 South Lakeland District Council resolved to change the name of the parish to Allithwaite and Cartmel.
Notice is now given by South Lakeland District Council that the name of the Parish of Lower Allithwaite is changed to the Parish of Allithwaite and Cartmel effective from 29 July 2020.
